Process

Fromsitetodwelling.

Four movements. Nothing extra. Each stage is given the time the work requires, from first visit to occupation.

Sequence

Site, form, craft, dwell. The line is held. No stage is skipped, and none is hurried for the sake of a date.

Time

Eighteen to thirty-six months is the usual span. Drawings wait on light. Making waits on the right hands.

Handover

Architecture recedes. Keys are given. We remain for the first season of occupation, then the house is yours.

Signal

Sequence is structure.

Planting held against a quiet facade
Green is specified with the concrete.
Site, form, craft, dwell. Shade is designed. The garden is not an afterthought.

Sequence

Site, form, craft, dwell.

Sunlit interior court with measured openings

We begin with orientation, light, and the quiet rituals of those who will inhabit the work.

Duration: two to four months. Surveys, solar studies, and time spent on the ground. We record approach, shadow, and the grain of the existing fabric before a line is drawn.
