Who are we
LUMEN is four principals and a small table of makers. We take few commissions. The work is shared between Copenhagen and Los Angeles, with the same standard in both rooms.

Mira Solberg
Leads northern work. Trained in Aarhus and Tokyo. She holds the line on light, sequence, and what a room should refuse.
Partner, Los Angeles
Elias Voss
Leads West Coast work. Previously with offices in Basel and Mexico City. He treats landscape as a load-bearing material.
Design director
Amina Koury
Draws the first plans. Models are made by hand until the last revision. She keeps the palette short and the openings exact.
Technical lead
Jonas Rhee
Translates drawings into construction that can be made well. Concrete, timber, glass. Details are held until they are inevitable.
